Lidija Vukicevic celebrated Saint Petka at home in Belgrade and unveiled a new hairstyle

Serbian and regional actress Lidija Vukicevic marked the Orthodox feast of Saint Petka from her Belgrade home and attracted attention on social media not only for the intimate religious moment but for a noticeably different look.

On Instagram she posted a photo of a lavish icon of the saint with a red vigil lamp burning before it and a spiritual song playing in the background. In the short caption she wrote simply: "home".

Alongside the holiday snapshot, many viewers focused on her hairstyle. For years Lidija's trademark had been voluminous curls, but in the recent post she appeared with perfectly straight, sleek hair — a stark change that prompted a wave of online reactions.

Fans flooded the comments with surprise and compliments; some wrote that "it's impossible that's her," and others insisted that "the same rules for time don't apply to her and she always looks youthful."

In a separate interview given to our editorial, Lidija spoke warmly about her ties to Macedonia. "I feel at home in Macedonia because for years I have been coming, performing plays and enjoying time with all the people I know," she said, adding that Ohrid, with its churches and atmosphere, remains her favorite place.

About her outlook

Asked about the secret of her youthful appearance, she attributed it above all to a positive spirit: "I think that people with positive thoughts and with joy in themselves do not get those ugly wrinkles and remain spiritually young."
