Nations League: Klopp and Xavi draw in Amsterdam, Greece wins with last-gasp turnaround in Belgrade

Jürgen Klopp and Xavi's teams played out a 1:1 draw in Amsterdam on 24.09.2026 in the opening round of Nations League A, while Greece produced a spectacular late turnaround to beat Serbia 2:1 in Belgrade.

Portugal began their Nations League campaign with a 1:0 victory over Wales. João Félix scored the match's only goal in the 22nd minute with a precise shot from the centre of the penalty area, giving Jorge Jesus a winning start in the new cycle.

Norway defeated Denmark 3:2 in a roller-coaster opener. The hosts raced into a 2:0 lead with goals from Oskar Bobb in the 14th and Erling Haaland in the 18th minute. Denmark fought back when Mikkel Damsgaard pulled one back in the 25th minute, and Rasmus Hojlund levelled in the 60th. Haaland then restored the lead in the 74th minute and secured Norway's victory.
