Liverpool target Aleksei Batrakov as Galatasaray demand at least €50 million
21-year-old central midfielder impressed two months after joining Galatasaray and is on Liverpool's radar before the January 2027 window.
29.10.2026 — Liverpool is linked with a move for 21-year-old midfielder Aleksei Batrakov, who has drawn attention just two months after joining Galatasaray.
Scouts from Liverpool are reported to have monitored Batrakov during Galatasaray's league meeting with Fenerbahçe. In nine appearances for the Istanbul club so far the young midfielder has registered two goals and two assists.
Transfer price and contract
Galatasaray have set a high asking price for Batrakov: the club is said to want at least 50 million euros to part with him. The player's current market value is estimated at 28 million euros, and some Turkish reports add that Galatasaray will not let him go for less than 40 million euros. Batrakov is under contract with Galatasaray until the summer of 2031.
Batrakov arrived in Istanbul this summer from Lokomotiv Moscow and has made a rapid impact, earning attention from several European clubs with his early performances for Galatasaray.
If Liverpool decide to pursue the transfer in the January 2027 window, the English club may face strong competition and a complicated negotiation, not least because of Galatasaray's valuation and the player's long-term deal.
Interest in the midfielder also fits into Liverpool's longer-term planning: the club continues to monitor young players who could take on larger roles in coming seasons at Anfield.
