Ljupche Doriev stayed popular after 1:1 with Bukhoro; fans queued for selfies
The Macedonian international remains a fan favourite in Uzbekistan despite not scoring in the 1:1 draw with Bukhoro.

Ljupche Doriev remains the most photographed Macedonian in Uzbekistan after Sogdiana's 1:1 draw with Bukhoro on 30 October 2026. The national team forward did not score in the match, but supporters flocked to meet him and asked for selfies — a request he kindly accepted.
Doriev's place at the top
Despite not finding the net in this fixture, Doriev continues to lead the scorers' chart in the Uzbek league with 15 goals and has added five assists across 26 rounds. His consistent output has made him one of the competition's standout players this season.
The atmosphere after the game showed how much his performances have resonated locally: fans queued near the Sogdiana players to take pictures with the Macedonian attacker, who posed and interacted with those who approached him in a professional manner.
Team sources say Doriev's combination of scoring and playmaking has been central to Sogdiana's campaign, and his popularity off the pitch has grown in step with his results on it.
Elsewhere, there are injury concerns for Macedonian footballers abroad: earlier reports noted that Andrej Stojchevski is sidelined with a groin injury and faces a recovery period of four to six weeks.
