Luis Ribeiro has announced he is leaving Bashkimi Kumanovo. On 05.11.2026 18:00 he posted on his social media that he is departing the first‑league club from Kumanovo and thanked the team's supporters for their backing.
The exit removes a key player from Bashkimi's squad at a moment when the club's main objective appears to be avoiding relegation. Ribeiro's departure is expected to complicate those survival plans.
So far there has been no official comment from Bashkimi. Ribeiro did not give a detailed explanation for his decision, saying only that it was for "personal reasons."
Player background
Ribeiro is Portuguese and also holds a German passport. In North Macedonia he first turned out for Shkupi before moving to Kumanovo to join Bashkimi.
It is not yet known whether the player has lined up a new destination or when Bashkimi will announce a replacement. The club faces the practical challenge of filling the gap Ribeiro leaves in the midfield and attack as the season continues.
