Luka Dončić records historic NBA first — 45 points, 15 rebounds, 5+ steals and 5 threes

Luka Dončić delivered one of the most unusual individual performances in NBA history as the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Toronto Raptors 131–125 on November 2, 2026. Dončić played 35 minutes and finished with 45 points (12/23 FG, 8/12 3PT), 15 rebounds, six assists and five steals — a combination of numbers the league says has never been recorded before in a single game.

Statistical milestone and a show of all-around play

According to the NBA’s social posts, Dončić became the first player in league history to record at least 45 points, 15 rebounds, five assists, five steals and five made three-pointers in a single game. The league posted the milestone on X alongside video highlights of his performance.

At halftime the NBA also highlighted an earlier landmark: "Dončić became the first player in the era of detailed play-by-play tracking to finish a half with at least five rebounds, five threes and five steals." Dončić had 24 points, eight rebounds, five steals and six made threes by the break.

Specialized stat platforms such as StatMuse also flagged the outing as historically unique. Dončić’s career contains higher-scoring games — including 73 and 60-point performances, and a 52-point game just a week earlier against the Utah Jazz — but the Toronto game will be remembered for its rare mix of scoring, rebounding and defensive aggression.

Teammate Austin Reaves added 19 points for the Lakers, while Walker Kessler produced a notable, near-perfect offensive line: 16 points on 6/6 shooting, 15 rebounds and three blocks. Kessler’s efficiency and rebound total made him the first Lakers player in more than 40 years to finish a game with that combination and an unblemished field-goal line.

For the Raptors, Scottie Barnes led the way with 29 points, six rebounds and five assists; R.J. Barrett finished with 22 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Elsewhere on the same night, the Golden State Warriors beat the LA Clippers 124–112.
