Mother of beaten 13‑year‑old from Vlae says children formed 'circle' to attack passersby
Mother reports alleged organised attacks at Delfina square in Vlae and says she notified police.

On 19 October 2026 the mother of a 13-year-old boy who was beaten at Delfina square in the Vlae neighbourhood of Skopje said she has gathered new, worrying information about an alleged pattern of violence among minors at the site.
According to the mother, children have formed a circle at the square and physically assault other youngsters who pass through it. She says she reported those findings to the police. "Yes, I told the police. Very strong measures must be taken, because all of this is getting out of control," the mother said.
Victim and witnesses
The woman said her son was surrounded and attacked by a group of roughly 15 to 20 minors. She described the incident as part of the same practice she has been told about by other residents and witnesses.
She confirmed she filed a report with law enforcement but did not provide details on any follow-up or police actions. Local authorities have not issued a public statement regarding the allegations at the time of the mother's account.
Residents of Vlae and parents in the area are calling for immediate measures to prevent further incidents and to protect children who use the square. The mother urged authorities and community leaders to intervene before the situation escalates.
