He will lead operations and strategic development for The Coca‑Cola Company in Greece and Cyprus, replacing Stavros Murelatos.

Gjorgji Hristov has been named general manager of The Coca‑Cola Company for the markets of Greece and Cyprus, taking one of the region's most senior operational posts within the beverage group.
In his new role Hristov will oversee operations, business development and the company’s strategic activities across both markets. He succeeds Stavros Murelatos, who will move to a broader managerial position within the company’s European organizational structure.
Background and track record
Hristov brings nearly 20 years of industry experience and a long international career, having held a series of senior management posts across several European markets.
He began his professional path in North Macedonia in the premium alcoholic beverages sector, later moving into marketing at Pivara Skopje where he worked on brand development and market strategy. Hristov joined The Coca‑Cola Company in 2011 and has since served in leadership roles in Serbia, Hungary and at Central Europe level, covering sales, marketing, business development and regional strategy.
Before this appointment he served as general manager for the Adria region, leading the company’s operations in Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The move to Greece and Cyprus places him at the helm of two markets considered important for the company in Southeast Europe.
The company highlights Hristov’s long international experience, leadership skills and proven results in running diverse markets as a strong basis for further growth and reinforcement of The Coca‑Cola brands in Greece and Cyprus. His promotion is also presented as a notable professional recognition for Macedonian managerial talent on the international business stage.
