North Macedonia 20th at EuroVolley 2026 as Poland wins European title
Poland beat France in Milan to win the 34th EuroVolley; Finland earned its first-ever bronze.
September 28, 2026 — The 34th edition of EuroVolley ended on Saturday in Milan with Poland crowned European champion after a final that again showed why the continental tournament is among the sport’s elite.
Poland top Europe; Finland makes history
Poland secured the title in Milan by overcoming France, the Olympic champion, in a match that completed a tournament full of high-level clashes. Finland produced the tournament’s biggest surprise by claiming the bronze medal — the first EuroVolley podium in its history — while Slovenia completed the top four.
North Macedonia finished 20th in the final classification of EuroVolley 2026. Our team ended the competition ahead of Switzerland, Israel, the Netherlands and Slovakia.
In the group stage North Macedonia competed in Group B, where the team recorded one straight-sets victory (a 3-0 win). Turkey and Sweden finished above North Macedonia in the group standings due to a better set quotient.
The tournament in Milan wrapped up a month of continental competition and provided a clear hierarchy at the top, while smaller federations celebrated historic milestones.
