North Macedonia to learn Davis Cup 2027 opponent on Monday, Sept. 28
The London draw on 28 September will determine which of 52 teams North Macedonia, a World Group II unseeded nation, will face.
North Macedonia will find out its first opponent for the 2027 Davis Cup in a draw to be held in London on Monday, 28 September. The ceremony will pair 52 national teams into 26 ties that will be played around the world.
The North Macedonian team is placed in the Davis Cup World Group II and enters the draw as an unseeded nation alongside Bermuda, Burundi, Guatemala, Iran, Jordan, Moldova, Namibia, Nigeria, Puerto Rico, Saudi Arabia, Senegal and Venezuela.
Teams listed as seeds — and therefore possible opponents for seeded-versus-unseeded pairings — include Israel, Egypt, Hong Kong, Estonia, El Salvador, Pakistan, South Africa, Thailand, Cyprus, Latvia, Syria, Barbados and Indonesia.
The first play-off round ties are scheduled for either 5–6 February or 6–7 February 2027; the host nation for each tie, to be decided by the draw, has the right to choose the exact playing date.
Winners of the World Group II ties advance to face nations defeated in World Group I in the next round, while the losing nations from World Group II will compete later in the year in Group III events within their respective regions.
With the draw set for London on 28 September, the North Macedonian squad will learn which of the listed opponents it must prepare for in the 2027 Davis Cup play-offs.
