Macedonian basketball players ready for the duel in Vienna — goal: victory
The team completed final preparations in Vienna; the coach will have a full roster after the infection has passed.
The North Macedonia national basketball team completed the final training before tomorrow's duel with Austria and it is clear to both the public and the team that the goal is one — a victory in Vienna which will mean a step forward toward qualification for EuroBasket 2029.
The training took place in the "Sport Arena" hall in Vienna; tactical decisions remain kept within the team, but publicly they reiterate the ambition and the clarity of the preparations. Coach Jose Maria Berokal announced that the team is focused and ready.
No more health issues in the team
The medical team confirmed that the virus which affected part of the national team is past and that all players are available. The team's doctor, Ivo Donevski, confirmed the condition of the team ahead of the match.
“All the guys are in excellent health and are prepared for tomorrow's match. They are ready to meet all the demands of the coach and to give their maximum on the court. All, from first to last, are great fighters. I believe in them and I know that they are maximally motivated to get the victory against Austria,” the team's doctor told us.
The match between Austria and North Macedonia will be played tomorrow with a start at 16:05. Strong support from the Macedonian diaspora in Vienna is expected — the phalanx announced their presence and that will be an additional motivation for the team.
