Macron said Paris could send additional military assets depending on how the situation evolves, signalling a flexible response if threats intensify.

He warned that Russia increasingly regards Europe as part of a wider conflict because of European support for Ukraine, and said hostile activity across Europe has risen in recent weeks.
Macron also rejected reports that the CIA had warned France about a specific planned Russian attack, and said diplomatic channels remain active: France will continue talks with Iran and Oman aimed at reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
Finally, he announced that, if necessary, France will tap part of its reserves to lessen the impact on energy markets.
