Minor attacked in park in Skopje's Aerodrom after dispute during play
Father reported that his minor son was attacked in a park in Aerodrom after an altercation during play; police are taking measures to investigate.
A.K.(38) yesterday afternoon reported to the Skopje Police Department (SVR Skopje) that his minor son was physically attacked by another minor in a park in the Aerodrom municipality, after a prior misunderstanding while playing in the evening hours.
In the statement filed by A.K.(38) it is noted that the attack occurred following an earlier misunderstanding during play, and since this morning the competent police services have been working to clarify the case.
The police continue to take measures
"Measures are being taken to clarify the case," the police bulletin for today adds.
This is not the first such incident in the Aerodrom municipality: at the end of last month a 31-year-old woman reported that her 12-year-old daughter had been attacked by two other minors, and there were also witnesses among the minors who recorded the incident on a mobile phone.
A few days later the Ministry of Interior (MVR) reported that the two minors and their parents had been called in for a discussion at a police station, and that the juvenile public prosecutor and the Intermunicipal Center for Social Work were informed about the incident.
The Macedonian public has in recent months been concerned by a series of cases of peer violence in several cities, and according to the latest data from UNICEF, the leading international organization for the protection of children's rights, "more than 2 out of 3 children aged 1 to 14 in the country experience violent discipline at home, which includes psychological aggression and/or physical punishment."
