Manchester City complete signing of Iliman Ndiaye for up to £65 million

Manchester City have completed the signing of winger Iliman Ndiaye from Everton in a deal that can rise to £65 million. The 26-year-old Senegal international joined the champions on the final day of the summer transfer window, 1 September 2026, in a move initially reported at £60 million plus up to £5 million in add-ons.

City confirmed Ndiaye has put pen to paper on a five-year contract at the Etihad Stadium. The club had pursued other options earlier in the window, including an attempt to sign Cody Gakpo from Liverpool, but disagreements between the clubs forced City's attention onto Ndiaye.

From Marseille to the Etihad

"All my life I have worked for an opportunity like this," Ndiaye said after signing. "City is one of the best clubs in the world and I watched them win everything while I was growing up. To be able to write my own chapter in such a special story is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and I am determined to seize it with both hands. It hasn't always been easy in my career, but I always believed I could play for a team that fights for the biggest honours and here I am."

Ndiaye arrived at Everton from Marseille in 2024. Since then he has made 74 appearances for Everton and scored 21 goals, numbers that helped convince City to finalise the transfer as they sought to add pace and goal threat on the flanks.

The move gives Manchester City fresh attacking options as they balance domestic and European schedules; Ndiaye will now link up with Pep Guardiola's squad ahead of forthcoming fixtures.
