Marjan Ilievski named new head coach of KK Madžari
Former North Macedonia senior national team selector Marjan Ilievski returns to lead KK Madžari in season 2026/27 and their debut in the ABA2 League.
On 31 July 2026 KK Madžari announced Marjan Ilievski as the club's new head coach for the 2026/27 season, following yesterday's presentation of Boro Atanasovski as the club president.
Ilievski will take charge of the coaching staff and prepare the team for domestic competition as well as Madžari's historic debut in the ABA2 League.
A former selector of the North Macedonia senior national team, Ilievski brings extensive experience from the domestic and international game.
He is one of the club's co-founders and is described by the club as the ideological force behind the project; his return to Madžari is presented as a homecoming.
Madžari's management say they expect Ilievski to combine his international résumé and trophy-winning experience with the club's ambitions, aiming to build a competitive roster for both the national championship and the regional ABA2 competition.
The appointment completes the club's recent leadership reshuffle and sets the technical direction for the upcoming season.
