Igor Marković calls up North Macedonia women’s handball squad; EHF highlights team
The squad meets today at the Three Corners Hotel; North Macedonia will be based in Cluj and faces Norway, Romania and Switzerland at the European Championship.

The North Macedonia women's handball team will reconvene today at the Three Corners Hotel, where head coach Igor Marković will name the players summoned for the next training cycle ahead of the European Championship.
The European Handball Federation (EHF) has already listed North Macedonia among the participants and published short video clips introducing the team. The national squad will use Cluj as its tournament base and has been drawn in a group with Norway, Romania and Switzerland.
Tournament context and calendar
The European Championship runs from 3 to 20 December and will be staged across five host countries. This will be North Macedonia's eighth appearance at the continental competition.
Marković is the national team's new head coach. He made his debut at the Trophy Macedonia tournament in September, where his team recorded two wins and a loss. With that preparatory event complete, he now says he has a fuller picture of the squad and can begin shaping tactical plans for the European stage.
The coming days of training in Cluj are expected to focus on refining systems and building cohesion ahead of the group matches against experienced opponents. The coaching staff and players have set a preparatory schedule that will be followed until the team departs for the championship.
