Matis Lidstroem, 13, wins Swedish national ski jumping title
Thirteen‑year‑old Matis Lidstroem topped the senior standings at the K‑90 with 95m and 90m jumps, finishing on 223 points.

On 20 October 2026 a remarkable upset unfolded in Sweden: 13-year-old Matis Lidstroem won the country’s senior national ski jumping title, defeating the adult field at the K‑90 hill.
Young jumper posts two big distances and three national crowns
Competing on the K‑90, Lidstroem registered jumps of 95 and 90 metres and accumulated a total of 223 points to claim the senior championship.
His margin over the rest of the field was extraordinary: runner-up Oskar Francen finished on 172.4 points, 50.6 points behind Lidstroem.
The 13‑year‑old capped a dominant weekend by also taking the junior titles on both the normal and the medium hills, finishing the meet with three national championships in his trophy haul.
The result immediately turned heads given Lidstroem’s age and relative anonymity on the international circuit; his performance at the K‑90 confirmed him as the surprise story of the Swedish championships.
