Skopje International Airport wins ASQ 2025 “Most pleasant airport experience in Europe”
Skopje International Airport received ACI World’s ASQ 2025 prize in Istanbul, based entirely on passenger evaluations.

Skopje International Airport has been named the winner of the 2025 ASQ (Airport Service Quality) award in the category “Most pleasant airport experience in Europe”, ACI World announced on the sidelines of its passenger-experience summit.
The prize was presented during the ACI Global Passenger Experience Summit in Istanbul, where organisers recognise airports for measurable service quality. The award reflects results from the ASQ programme, which evaluates airports across multiple passenger-focused criteria.
Passenger ratings decided the winner
TAV Macedonia, the operator of Skopje International Airport, confirmed the airport received the accolade and described it as further proof of its position among Europe’s top airports for service quality and operational performance. According to the company, this is the 11th ASQ-related honour for Skopje.
The ASQ distinctions are calculated exclusively from passenger feedback gathered while travellers are at the airport. Assessments cover a range of on-site experiences — from the speed of check-in and security screening to the cleanliness and comfort of the terminal and the clarity of signage and wayfinding.
Airport officials said the recognition underscores recent investments and improvements aimed at reducing wait times, upgrading facilities and making navigation easier for passengers. TAV Macedonia noted the award will be used to guide further service enhancements.
Representatives from the airport and operator received the award in Istanbul at the summit where airport leaders and industry experts exchanged best practices on elevating the passenger journey.
