Lionel Messi orders Ultima 88 catamaran worth up to €10 million
Messi commissioned a 28‑metre Ultima 88 from Sanrif Yachts that will join his MIM Ocean charter fleet in the Balearic Islands.

Lionel Messi has marked the end of his Argentina career by ordering a custom luxury catamaran, the Ultima 88, from Polish builder Sanrif Yachts — a vessel whose typical price ranges between €8 million and €10 million.
The 28-metre catamaran was commissioned to offer high-end comfort and amenities. According to the specifications, the boat includes seven spacious cabins, an expansive relaxation deck, a dedicated storage area for jet skis and a forward jacuzzi. It is fitted with two powerful engines, each producing around 1,000 horsepower.
Part of a growing rental fleet
“I am very happy to be part of the Sanrif family. My family and I have always wanted to spend time at sea whenever we can. These yachts have the style and features I appreciate and that precisely meet my requirements. I can’t wait to try them,” said the 39-year-old forward.
The new catamaran will join Messi’s MIM Ocean fleet. Messi has run a business in partnership with a Spanish company since 2019, offering luxury catamaran charters primarily around the Balearic Islands, with an emphasis on Mallorca and Ibiza.
For clients, renting a fully crewed vessel of this class carries a premium: weekly charter rates for the model are reported to be between €78,000 and €95,000.
