Mykhailo Fedorov will be advisor to the Italian Minister of Defense for innovations
Fedorov will help develop modern military technologies and simultaneously work on forming an investment fund for Ukraine's defense.

Former Ukrainian Minister of Defense Mykhailo Fedorov announced that he has accepted the offer to be an advisor to the Italian Minister of Defense Guido Crosetto for innovations in defense.
“In this position I will help Italy develop modern technologies for warfare, improve the defense sector and adapt to the new security challenges in the world,” said Fedorov.
As part of the new role, Fedorov will focus on technological solutions and the rapid adaptation of modern systems that would strengthen the operational and industrial defense base.
Combination of public and private initiative
A member of Fedorov’s team said that he will combine the advisory role with his main focus on establishing an investment fund for Ukrainian defense. The goal of the fund is to direct capital toward projects and technologies that will serve Ukraine’s national security.
The shift of attention to technological innovations and financial support reflects the interest of European countries and the private sector in joint solutions amid prolonged security pressures in the region.
Italian institutions have not yet released timelines for the details of the cooperation; the combination of an advisory function and investment plans could enable linking state needs with international investments and industrial cooperation.
