Mihajlo Mudryk confirmed as a Tottenham player
The Ukrainian winger joins Roberto De Zerbi’s squad; Tottenham hold a buy option for summer 2027.

Tottenham Hotspur have officially completed the signing of Ukrainian winger Mihajlo Mudryk, the club announced on 2 September 2026. Mudryk will join the squad of head coach Roberto De Zerbi and is expected to bolster Tottenham's attacking options.
The transfer had been reported one day earlier, on 1 September 2026, and Tottenham moved to confirm the deal the following day.
De Zerbi is a familiar figure in Mudryk's career: the Italian coach was the one who initially promoted Mudryk during his time at Shakhtar Donetsk and now reunites with him in north London.
During his spell with Shakhtar, Mudryk made 44 appearances, registering 12 goals and 17 assists — numbers that attracted interest from several Premier League clubs.
Previous bids and financial details
Both Chelsea and Arsenal pursued Mudryk before the move. At one stage he appeared closer to Arsenal, but Chelsea eventually increased their offer and signed him for €70,000,000. Despite Mudryk having spent almost two years sidelined because of a suspension, Tottenham decided to give him a new opportunity.
The agreement includes a buy option: the clause that gives Tottenham the right, but not the obligation, to purchase him in the summer of 2027 is set at €87,500,000 — exactly £75,000,000.
