Mikel Arteta signs new contract with Arsenal until 2030

Mikel Arteta has signed a new contract that will keep him at Arsenal until 2030, the club confirmed on October 7, 2026.

The deal guarantees the 44-year-old Spaniard a salary of £17 million per year, with performance-related bonuses that can raise the total to £20 million annually.

Highest-paid manager in the Premier League

With the new terms, Arteta becomes the highest-paid manager in the Premier League, overtaking Oliver Glasner, who is paid £12 million a year plus bonuses.

Arteta took charge of Arsenal in December 2019. "Last season he ended the club's 22-year drought and won the Premier League title," the club noted in its announcement.

The contract extension secures Arsenal's managerial stability as the club looks to build on recent success and compete at the top of English and European football through the remainder of the decade.
