Rangers eliminated on penalties despite Bojan Miovski scoring; Lugano reach group stage without Ezgjan Alioski
27.08.2026 20:44 — Rangers failed to reach the group stage of the UEFA Europa Conference League after losing on penalties away to Jablonec in the Czech Republic.
Jablonec won the 90 minutes 1-0 at home, the same scoreline Rangers had achieved in the first leg, and no goals were added in extra time. The tie went to a shootout to decide who advances.
Bojan Miovski began the game on the bench and only entered at the start of extra time, in the 106th minute. He took a spot-kick during the shootout and converted in the second round, but misses by his teammates Krtis and Penrajs in the final two rounds handed Jablonec a historic progression.
