Brera host Hoffenheim in Strumica in UEFA Youth League tie

Brera will host Hoffenheim today, 28 October 2026, at 14:00 local time at the Mladost stadium in Strumica in the first leg of the second qualifying round of the UEFA Youth League.

Strumica match after an 11:0 aggregate in the first round

The North Macedonian side reached the tie after a dominant showing in the opening qualifying round, when Gjorge Stojchev's team eliminated Santa Coloma of Andorra with an 11:0 aggregate score. That result made Brera the first club from North Macedonia to advance through a round in this competition.

Players and staff from Brera say they expect a tough test against the German youngsters but hope to use the home match to build confidence ahead of the away leg. The club has asked fans to turn out at Mladost to support the team.

From the Brera camp there is awareness of the gap in reputation between the sides: Hoffenheim are recognised as favourites. Still, the Strumica side say they will give their maximum effort to secure the best possible result before travelling to Germany.

The return leg is scheduled for 4 November 2026 in Germany. The winner of the Brera–Hoffenheim tie will meet the victor of the PAOK–Zrinjski tie in the next qualifying phase of the UEFA Youth League.
