Hoffenheim overwhelmed Brera in the return leg of the second qualifying round of the Youth Champions League on 4 November 2026, routing the Macedonian side 9:0 in Germany and eliminating them 0:12 on aggregate.
German efficiency decided the tie
The tie had been difficult for Brera after a 0:3 defeat at home in Strumica, but few expected the margin to widen so drastically in the rematch. Hoffenheim imposed a high-tempo, disciplined style from the start and converted chances decisively.
The hosts raced into a 2:0 lead by the 11th minute, a warning sign that the evening would be long for the visitors. By half-time the score had already reached 4:0.
Instead of easing off, Hoffenheim sustained the pressure after the break and found the net five more times in the second half to complete the 9:0 victory.
Brera never managed to create a foothold in the match and were unable to demonstrate any of their qualities on this occasion. The heavy defeat ends their campaign in European youth competition for the season.
