Mohamed Atum leads youth table tennis camp in Pehchevo

Mohamed Atum, a coach from Jordan affiliated with the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) network, is leading a week-long training camp for young players from North Macedonia. The camp runs from 6 to 13 October 2026 in Pehchevo and gathers 18 junior table tennis athletes from across the country.

Atum visited the venue together with the national team selector, Milos Milenkovic, and the two inspected the club in Berovo — described by organisers as one of the largest table tennis clubs in North Macedonia. The visit forms part of the practical work around the camp and local development efforts.

Second international coach camp in a month

This is the second training camp with an international coach organised inside a single month. In September a separate camp took place in Skopje under the support of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China and within the framework of the China Table Tennis College programme.

Coaches say the short, intensive camps are intended to raise technical standards among younger categories and to expand exposure to different coaching methods. The week includes daily drills, match practice and sessions focused on footwork and serve-receive routines.

After the youth programme, attention at the national level shifts to senior competition: from 11 October North Macedonia’s top seniors, Kristijan Stanojkovski and Amelia Nikolov, will compete at the European Championships in Slovenia.
