Moses Wright to play for North Macedonia in Vienna on 30 August 2026

Olimpia Milano has confirmed that Moses Wright — who recently received a Macedonian passport — will join the North Macedonia national team for the pre-qualifier fixture against Austria scheduled for 30 August 2026 in Vienna.

The club announced that Wright will be available for the August FIBA window and will travel to join the squad preparing for the away match in the Austrian capital.

Season form and numbers

Wright arrived in North Macedonia’s setup after a standout season in Kaunas as the starting center for Žalgiris Kaunas. He averaged 13.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and a 17.1 PIR while playing 23 minutes per game in the EuroLeague regular season.

Although Žalgiris were eliminated by Fenerbahçe Istanbul in the EuroLeague quarterfinals, the team dominated at home, cruising through the Lithuanian League playoffs and securing the domestic championship.

The addition of Wright — a physically imposing interior presence who has just completed strong continental and domestic campaigns — is expected to strengthen North Macedonia’s roster ahead of the important pre-qualification tie in Vienna.
