Muarem Muarem leaves as coach of Skopje
The coach announced his departure on social media during the international break; Skopje have three points from eight games and are bottom of the MFL.
Muarem Muarem has left his post as head coach of Skopje, the club announced during the international break on 25.09.2026.
Muarem posted on his social media channels that he and the team have parted ways and he "wishes the Pirates all the best for the remainder of the championship."
Poor start and an early change
Skopje sit bottom of the Macedonian First Football League with just three points from eight matches, occupying 10th place on the table.
The club returned to the top flight this season after promotion, but the poor run of results left them struggling to preserve their elite status.
With the national-team pause now in effect, Skopje are without a coach and face the task of finding a replacement before league action resumes.
The split was confirmed on 25.09.2026; Muarem’s brief farewell message singled out the club’s supporters, and he offered his best wishes to "the Pirates" as they try to turn the season around.
