Ministry of Internal Affairs launches nationwide operation against drug and weapons trafficking

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched a coordinated police operation across the entire country aimed at suppressing criminal activity linked to drug and weapons trafficking.

The operation is being carried out by the Criminal Police Department in cooperation with sectors for internal affairs across the country, the ministry said.

Authorities described the action as nationwide in scope and focused on disrupting organised flows of illegal drugs and illicit firearms.

No operational results — such as arrests, seizures or charges — were disclosed while activities are ongoing.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that, after the operation concludes, it will provide additional details and information about the measures taken and the results of police procedures.

Officials urged patience while the police complete their investigative and enforcement work so that full and accurate information can be released subsequently.
