Published on October 26, 2026 at 10:21 — The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that over a three‑day operation it issued fines to 2,720 drivers, arrested 67 people and seized 27 vehicles.

According to the ministry's statement, the majority of recorded offences involved speeding. The seized vehicles were taken under Article 300‑b of the Criminal Code.

Authorities said the enforcement action combined traffic controls and targeted checks aimed at reducing road danger and tackling illegal activity connected to motor vehicles.

Operational details

Police carried out inspections at fixed and mobile checkpoints and used automated and manual detection tools to identify speeders and other traffic violators. The sweeps led to immediate fines as well as criminal procedures in cases where the conditions of Article 300‑b applied.

The Ministry emphasised that the campaign will continue and called on drivers to respect speed limits and traffic rules to avoid penalties and criminal consequences.
