MZT Skopje Aerodrom begins preseason training at Jane Sandanski Hall

MZT Skopje Aerodrom opened its preseason work on August 17, 2026, holding the first official session at Jane Sandanski Hall as the club prepares for the upcoming competitive calendar.

The management and coaching staff gathered the available players for a focused practice aimed at building form and team cohesion ahead of a season in which the club targets top results across three competitions: the domestic Super League, the ABA2 League and the FIBA EuroCup.

Head coach Vasko Atanasov led the inaugural workout, setting the tone with a professional, work-oriented approach that the club says reflects its ambitions after more than a decade of domestic prominence.

Ambition on three fronts

Winning the national title remains the primary objective, but MZT Skopje Aerodrom does not intend to downplay its regional and continental commitments. The coaching staff stressed that depth and preparation will be crucial for competing simultaneously in all three tournaments.

Club officials and players used the first training to assess fitness levels and begin installing tactical concepts. Sources inside the camp described the atmosphere as determined and businesslike, with a clear emphasis on physical conditioning and defensive organization.

Supporters are expected to follow the team closely through friendly matches and the official competitions once the season begins, as MZT Skopje aims to maintain its leading role in North Macedonian basketball and make a mark beyond domestic borders.
