Nadica Ademov says a colleague tried to contact her husband, refuses to name her
The folk singer says she discovered messages to her husband and will not reveal the colleague’s identity; she also addressed a separate song dispute.

Folk singer Nadica Ademov has spoken publicly about a recent personal incident in which a fellow performer attempted to contact her husband, Damir. Ademov says she discovered the messages and has no intention of giving the woman publicity.
Ademov told reporters that she and the woman had shared the stage in the past and that their relationship was professional rather than personal. She said she will not identify the colleague and asked that the episode not be magnified.
On-stage history and a firm stance
“I will never reveal who she is, it doesn't occur to me to give her two minutes of life. She is not that well-known, we performed together — she was a working singer, and I was the star of the evening. Everything is deserved, I even shared the tip with her. Since then she has tried to contact me, but for me when someone makes a mistake, it is remembered,” the singer said.
Ademov also cleared up a separate misunderstanding involving colleague Rada Manojlovic over a song that had originally been bought for her but ultimately went to Manojlovic because of pregnancy. Ademov said the two have no hidden hostility and that Manojlovic personally apologized after learning the full circumstances.
Beyond the recent controversy, Ademov reflected on her rise from humble beginnings. Born and raised in Skopje in a poor family, she says her grandfather was the main caregiver while her parents worked at the market to provide for the household. The family moved to Subotica in 2001, and Ademov says she remains proud of the career she built through hard work and talent.
