At least 4 killed and 13 injured in Russian strikes on Kyiv

At least four people were killed and 13 injured after Russian air strikes hit Kyiv and nearby areas in the early hours, Ukrainian authorities said.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the assault involved drones and ballistic missiles and caused damage to homes and civilian infrastructure.

Damage in Boryspil and wider regions

“There was destruction of residential and civilian infrastructure. In Boryspil, a five-storey building was damaged. Fifty people were evacuated. Emergency services are on site. There were also strikes on businesses. In total four people were killed, and 13 were injured in the city,” Zelensky wrote.

Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, posted on Telegram that “The Kyiv region was the target of a massive attack by Russian missiles and drones last night.” He added that strikes continued in Odesa and its region.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that the Odesa region suffered a mass attack in which residential, energy and port infrastructure were hit.

In Zaporizhzhia a drone struck a firefighting and rescue vehicle, wounding four rescuers who were hospitalized with injuries of varying severity.

Officials said the strikes marked the sixth consecutive day of uninterrupted Russian air attacks on Kyiv and its environs, a campaign that has repeatedly disrupted daily life for millions.
