The ship "Gas Lisbon," sailing under the Liberian flag on a route from Egypt to Ukraine, suffered serious damage approximately 20 nautical miles from Romania's territorial waters.
Romanian rescue teams reacted swiftly and successfully evacuated the entire crew from the damaged vessel. Three crew members were injured in the incident and immediately received medical attention. To prevent further disaster and uncontrolled drifting that could endanger maritime navigation, a specialized tugboat was dispatched to the scene.
