Napoli were held to a 1-1 draw at Fiorentina on 20 September 2026, failing to convert their status as favourites into three points in the Serie A fixture.
The visitors opened the scoring in the 23rd minute through Scottish midfielder Billy Gilmour.
Fiorentina response and match outlook
Fiorentina answered early in the second half — Alejandro Jimenez finished in the 51st minute to level the score and restore parity for the hosts.
Neither side found a winner after Jimenez's strike, and Fiorentina can take encouragement from extending an unbeaten run to three matches.
After this result Napoli sit ninth with seven points from five games, while Fiorentina remain on four points and stand two places above the relegation zone.
