Ombudsman to take election-rights complaints in Tetovo during Brvenica vote
Tetovo regional office open 7:00–19:00 to take reports of alleged violations during the second round of early mayoral elections in Brvenica.

The Ombudsman will have a duty shift to receive citizens' complaints during the second round of the early mayoral elections in Brvenica, the institution announced.
Its regional office in Tetovo will be open from 7:00 to 19:00 — the full duration of voting — so people can report any infringement of their voting rights in person or by calling 044/344-082.
Protection and urgent measures
The Ombudsman said the office intends to protect voters' rights by taking urgent measures and urging competent authorities and other institutions charged with safeguarding guaranteed rights to act effectively during the election process.
The statement stressed that the right to vote is constitutionally guaranteed as equal, universal and direct, exercised in free elections with secret ballots, and reminded that no one may be prosecuted for exercising that right. It also noted that violations of voters' freedom of choice and other breaches of electoral rights are criminal offenses.
Officials also provided operational details for the day: a total of 107 sick or incapacitated persons and 9 people serving prison sentences are eligible to vote. Voting began at 7:00 this morning and the second round in Brvenica is being observed by 61 accredited monitors — 56 domestic and 5 international.
