Neymar set to join Inter Miami and reunite Barcelona trio with Messi and Suárez

Brazilian star Neymar is expected to join Inter Miami at the start of next year, according to remarks made by his former Brazil teammate Felipe Melo. Melo said Neymar's inner circle has already begun discussions about a potential move that would pair him again with Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez in Miami.

Reunion of a famed Barcelona attacking trio

Melo, who maintains close ties with the forward, spoke about the possible transfer in an interview with the portal "Goals do Brasileirao". The report says Neymar would leave his current club Santos to link up with the pair who already play for Inter Miami.

The three previously formed one of Europe's most potent attacking lines while at Barcelona between 2014 and 2017, combining for an impressive 363 goals across competitions in that period. Their reunion in Major League Soccer would rank among the year's biggest stories in world football.

Neymar, 34, returned to his boyhood club Santos in January 2025 after a difficult spell at Saudi side Al Hilal that was hampered by injuries. Prior to Al Hilal he represented Paris Saint-Germain.

If completed, the transfer would renew significant star power in MLS and heighten international attention on Inter Miami's project as the club pursues further growth on and off the field.
