Sokoli Shtip announced on August 21, 2026 that veteran guard Nikola Karakolev has joined the club and will serve as team captain for the coming season.
The club, which is preparing to compete in the newly formed Super League, is continuing to assemble its roster. Head coach Marjan Srbinovski confirmed Karakolev's addition and said the experienced player will take on leadership duties on and off the court.
