Nikolov returns home as Bregalnica Štip announce major signing
Midfielder Ivan Nikolov returns to Bregalnica Štip; he is eligible for the fifth-round match against Struga TRIM & LUM.
Ivan Nikolov has been officially unveiled as a new signing for Bregalnica Štip. The club presented the midfielder on 26.08.2026 in a short ceremony led by Stip mayor Ivan Jordanov.
Experienced midfielder returns to his boyhood club
Nikolov, a player for the centre of the park, comes back to his hometown side after spells with Vardar, SønderjyskE (Denmark) and Radnik Bijeljina (Bosnia and Herzegovina). The move reunites him with the club where he began his career.
The paperwork cleared Nikolov to play for Bregalnica in the upcoming fixture: the fifth round of the championship, when the Štip outfit travel to face Struga TRIM & LUM. He is registered and available for selection for that match.
So far this season Bregalnica have recorded two home wins and two away defeats, a mixed start that the new arrival is expected to help improve. Club officials said the addition aims to strengthen the midfield options ahead of the busy part of the campaign.
Supporters in Štip welcomed the announcement, while the coaching staff will now decide how Nikolov fits into the starting eleven as the club tries to climb the league table in the weeks ahead.
