Night fight against the fire in the Kavadarci region
The fire involves low-growing vegetation; teams remain on site, and from 18:00 helicopters will join the operation.

The blaze in the Kavadarci region has not yet subsided, and firefighters will continue to fight it through the night, said the director of the Directorate for Protection and Rescue, Stojanche Angelov.
The fire has mainly affected low-growing vegetation, and the strong flames that intermittently appear are the result of the burning of a large number of low spruces.
The director of the Center for Crisis Management, Muhamed Ali, is on site and, together with Angelov, is closely coordinating activities to deal with the fire.
The fire in the Kavadarci area has flared up again and there is a suspect for arson.
Resources and reinforcements on the ground
Included in the firefighting operation is the mayor of Kavadarci, Mitko Janchev, who is on site together with the firefighters. "Four Pinzgauers, two Unimogs, a truck from the Public Forest Enterprise, two jeeps and two aircraft of the Directorate for Protection and Rescue are participating in the firefighting, and from 18:00 two helicopters from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Army will also join the operation," the mayor announced.
Ali appealed to all citizens to show maximum caution and to avoid any activities that could cause a fire, as high temperatures and wind contribute to its rapid spread. Firefighting teams will remain on site overnight in an effort to prevent further spread.
