Infantino’s FIFA leased office in Trump Tower for nearly $4 million

FIFA President Gianni Infantino is facing fresh scrutiny after the publication on October 13, 2026 of a leasing agreement for office space in New York’s Trump Tower.

What the papers show

The documents indicate FIFA signed a lease worth nearly four million dollars for a period of more than seven years. The rented premises are on the 17th floor and total roughly 450 square meters; according to the reporting, the space is unused for much of the time.

Critics say the deal raises concerns about close personal ties between Infantino and former U.S. President Donald Trump, since the Trump family company manages the building. Some former FIFA officials have warned of a possible conflict of interest, particularly given that the United States was one of the hosts of the 2026 World Cup.

FIFA has rejected allegations of wrongdoing, stating the rent is in line with market conditions and that the lease was arranged through standard internal procedures. The organisation also explained the office is intended for special events and meetings with senior officials.

The new revelations add to existing questions about transparency and political influence within world football and come at a time when Infantino has already been under close scrutiny over his relationship with Trump and earlier controversies.
