Gianni Infantino did not disclose about €1.5 million in FIFA accounts

An investigation has found that FIFA did not publish the full amount of compensation paid to its president, Gianni Infantino, for 2024, leaving roughly €1.5 million undisclosed.

Omission in the 2024 accounts

FIFA's published 2024 accounts list a salary for Infantino of 4.3 million Swiss francs (about €4.6 million). However, the annual financial statements do not reflect payments originating from the company FVK2026 US Inc., which is directly involved in organizing the World Cup.

According to the findings, FVK2026 US Inc. transferred about €1.5 million that was not declared in FIFA's public disclosures. The undisclosed sum increases the total compensation received by the 56-year-old president beyond the amount reported in the federation's official figures for 2024.

Investigators say the funds were used, at least in part, to cover costs linked to Infantino's beachfront villa in one of Miami Beach's most exclusive neighbourhoods. The report also notes that comparable or higher bonuses are expected for 2025 and 2026.

The revelations come after earlier criticism of Infantino over a failed plan to sell parts of World Cup rights to private investment funds. FIFA's statutes require full disclosure of individual presidential remuneration, and the newly reported omission raises fresh questions about compliance and governance at the organisation.
