Inter Milan have completed the signing of England international John Stones, the club confirmed on Thursday.

The 32-year-old defender arrives as a free agent and has signed a contract running until the middle of 2028. Stones leaves Manchester City to move abroad for the first time in his professional career.
Last season he featured in nine Premier League matches for his club. He also took part in five matches at the 2026 World Cup, adding international tournament experience to his résumé.
Inter will look to integrate Stones into their defensive lineup, where his experience at club and international level is expected to strengthen their options at the back. The acquisition follows the club's push to bolster its squad ahead of the new campaign.
The announcement closes a transfer chapter for Stones, who now prepares for his debut outside England with Inter Milan as the 2026–27 season approaches.
