The England striker leaves Aston Villa for Al Hilal on a three-year deal worth €60.4 million.

August 30, 2026 — Ollie Watkins has completed a move to Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal, leaving Aston Villa after six seasons. The England international has signed a three-year contract with the Riyadh club.
The transfer fee is reported at €60.4 million, a major addition to Al Hilal's attacking options ahead of the new season. Watkins will join a squad investing heavily to strengthen its forward line.
Transfer background and numbers
Watkins, 30, arrived at Aston Villa in 2020 from Brentford and over the following years became one of the club's key players. In Premier League play he scored 91 goals for Villa, making him the club's top scorer in the competition; across all competitions he found the net 108 times for the Birmingham club.
The move to Al Hilal ends a six-year spell with Aston Villa and represents one of the more significant outbound transfers of the summer window for Premier League clubs. Watkins' physical presence and proven scoring record were central to Al Hilal's pursuit of the striker.
Aston Villa will now begin the process of replacing their leading Premier League scorer, while Al Hilal expect Watkins to boost their chances domestically and in continental competitions.
