Official: Tijjani Reijnders moves from Manchester City to Al Qadsiah
Tijjani Reijnders has signed with Al Qadsiah until June 2031 in a deal reported at about €61 million.

Manchester City confirmed on 19 August 2026 that Tijjani Reijnders has completed a permanent move to Saudi Arabian side Al Qadsiah. The Dutch midfielder, 28, has signed a contract that runs until June 2031, the Saudi club announced.
The reported transfer fee is about €61 million. That sum would make Reijnders the second-most valuable sale in City’s history, behind Julián Álvarez, who left for Atlético Madrid two years earlier for €75 million.
From Milan to Manchester to Saudi Arabia
Reijnders joined Manchester City last summer from AC Milan and made 50 appearances for the club, scoring seven goals. Despite those numbers, City decided to cash in after the midfielder failed to establish himself as a consistent leader in the squad.
Reijnders paid tribute to his former club on leaving. "Playing for Manchester City was an incredible privilege and I enjoyed every minute I spent here. From the moment I arrived, everyone at the club — players, coaches and staff — made me feel welcome and part of the Manchester City family," Reijnders said.
He added a special message for the supporters: "I would especially like to thank the City supporters, who gave me and my family tremendous support. Being part of the team that won two such important trophies last season was an incredible experience and something I will always remember," Reijnders said. Reports say he will receive a very large salary in Saudi Arabia, and his move marks an early end to his European club career for now.
