Man from Ohrid detained after threatening neighbour with pistol over parking space
Police say they seized a Zastava pistol and rifle, ammunition, spare parts and a firearm licence during a search of his home.

A 73-year-old man from Ohrid was detained after allegedly pointing a pistol at a neighbour during a dispute over a parking space, police said.
Police intervention and search
According to police, officers from the Regional Police Directorate - Ohrid arrested T.R. (73) on 01.08.2026 at 13:05 in Ohrid, following a report that at about 12:00 the same day he had aimed a pistol at G.K. (51) from Skopje inside the hallway of an apartment building after a disagreement over a parked vehicle.
Police from the Criminal Police Department at the Regional Police Directorate - Ohrid then carried out a search of the suspect's home. During the search authorities found and seized a firearm licence, a Zastava pistol, a Zastava rifle, ammunition and spare parts.
The arrested man remains in police custody while investigators establish the circumstances of the incident and prepare a report for the public prosecutor. No injuries were reported.
The case highlights growing tensions in shared residential spaces, where disputes over parking and other minor matters occasionally escalate into criminal incidents.
