Oleg Prihodko reaches ITF Futures final in Koszalin

On August 1, 2026, newly minted Macedonian Davis Cup representative Oleg Prihodko advanced to the final of the ITF Futures tournament in Koszalin, Poland.

Prihodko reached the title match after beating top seed Daniel Michalski in straight sets. He controlled the opening set 6-1 and, despite stronger resistance in the second set, closed out the semi-final 6-4 to record a 2-0 victory.

Match summary and outlook

The win in Koszalin came on clay courts at a tournament offering a total prize purse of $30,000. Prihodko showed aggressive court positioning and consistency from the baseline to dominate the first set, then tightened his game when the Polish home favorite pushed back in the second.

In the final Prihodko will face 22-year-old Tiago Pereira of Portugal. The Portuguese left-hander has been a tough opponent throughout the week, and the title match will decide the tournament champion.

This result adds to Prihodko's momentum following his recent selection to represent North Macedonia in Davis Cup competition, and it gives him a chance to claim a Futures trophy on the European clay swing.
