Omeragić: Sedloski has absolute support
FFM president defends coach after a poor Nations League start and a run of eight matches without goals.

After a difficult start to the Nations League — four defeats — and a run of eight matches without a goal or a win, questions have grown about Goce Sedloski's future as head coach of the North Macedonia national team. Masar Omeragić, president of the Football Federation of North Macedonia (FFM), however, made clear he stands behind the selector.

Speaking as a guest on the Sport Fokus programme on Telma, Omeragić said that Sedloski "absolutely has support." He added that he is "not a man who easily throws people under the bus, especially when they enter processes like this."
Omeragić pointed to Sedloski's previous successes at club level — the titles and Cups he has won — and noted that other recent national coaches also began with poor results, sometimes against weaker opponents. He said those coaches had not faced opponents of the current level and experienced mixed outcomes.
According to Omeragić, the situation is part of football: there must be time for players to adapt to the coach's character, methods and thinking. He described the criticism directed at Sedloski as excessive and the attacks as unjustified, while acknowledging that those in such positions are always exposed to attacks, insults and criticism.
Omeragić reiterated that "Sedloski has our support and will continue," and signalled confidence that the national side will show its true face in the European Championship qualifiers.
The remarks were made during Omeragić's appearance on Sport Fokus on Telma on October 14, 2026.
