Municipality of Kisela Voda called on citizens to close their windows tonight at 22:00
The municipality appeals to residents to close windows and doors while ground spraying takes place, from 22:00 to midnight.
The Municipality of Kisela Voda through social networks informed citizens that tonight (Thursday, July 30) it will carry out an anti-mosquito spraying operation across the entire territory of the municipality.
Spraying is scheduled from 22:00 to 00:00
The local government called on citizens during that period to close the windows and doors in their homes so that the measure can be carried out safely.
"The operation will be carried out in the period from 22:00 to 00:00, and the local government appeals to citizens, if possible, to keep windows and doors closed during that time interval so that the spraying can be carried out safely and effectively," said the Municipality of Kisela Voda.
The statement does not specify why that particular time was chosen and why the spraying was not planned later in the night, when the heat subsides and usually more homes will have closed windows.
It was also announced that early in the morning aerial spraying over Skopje will be carried out, aimed at adult mosquitoes, on Thursday and Friday.
The municipality calls on citizens to follow the instructions and, if possible, to keep windows and doors closed during the specified time interval.
