Panathinaikos beat Fenerbahce 92:74; Real stop Partizan

Panathinaikos produced a statement win in the EuroLeague derby against Fenerbahce, claiming a 92:74 victory at the OAKA Arena in Athens and extending their flawless start to the season to 4–0 under coach Zeljko Obradovic.

Big nights from Hayes and Lesor lift Panathinaikos

Hayes and Lesor each scored 19 points in a dominant performance for Panathinaikos, while Francisco added 17 as the Greens controlled the game and built a comfortable lead that Fenerbahce could not overturn.

Elsewhere in the round, Bayern Munich were upset at home by Virtus, 87:94, while Valencia beat Hapoel 93:82 to move to four wins from four matches. T.J. Shorts had 15 points for the winning Valencia side.

Real Madrid ended Partizan's winning run, taking an early grip on the game and keeping Partizan at bay to finish 86:76. Karlik Jones led Partizan with 19 points, but his scoring was not enough to force a comeback.

After the conclusion of round 4 the report notes that Panathinaikos and Valencia remain the only teams with perfect 4–0 records.

The Athens atmosphere, the strong individual displays and the contrasting results across the continent underlined how competitive the early EuroLeague calendar has become.
